Gujarat Approves Tariff for 1,200 MW Solar Projects

The Gujarat Electricity Regulatory Commission (GERC) has recently set the tariffs for three solar power projects in the state, totaling a combined capacity of 1,200 MW. The commission has also given Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited the go-ahead to finalise power purchase agreements with the developers.

SJVN Green Energy Limited has secured a contract to provide power from 500 MW solar project at a tariff of Rs 2.54 per kWh. While, SAEL Industries will supply power from 200 MW solar project at the tariff rate of Rs 2.55 per kWh. It will provide an additional greenshoe option for 200 MW, if required. It will be supplied at a tariff of Rs 2.54 per kWh. Furthermore, Coal India will deliver power from 300 MW solar project at a tariff of Rs 2.55 per kWh.
