GPIL Begins Commercial Operations on 23 MWp Solar Power Project in Chhattisgarh

Godawari Power and Ispat Limited (GPIL) has announced that the 23 MWp captive solar photovoaltic power plant of the company situated at Khairagarh (Rajnandgaon) Chhattisgarh has commissioned and duly synchronised with the grid and charged.

The power generated from the solar power plant will be captively consumed at Ari Dongri iron ore mining activities, which replace the high cost power, being purchased from state discom. The generation of solar energy will support the green initiatives of the company and reduce the carbon foot print.
