GH2 Solar Limited, in a joint venture with Advanced Hydrogen Energy Solutions (AHES) Limited, will set up an electrolyser manufacturing facility in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh. The facility will begin with a manufacturing capacity of 105 MW per annum, which was awarded under the Solar Energy Corporation of India’s Strategic Interventions for Green Hydrogen Transition programme. This will be supported by a production-linked incentive subsidy of over Rs 1.57 billion.
Furthermore, investments in the project are worth around Rs 4 billion, out of which Rs 1 billion were allocated in the first phase to set up a 3 GWh battery energy storage system assembly line. The remaining amount of Rs 3 billion will be invested in phases by 2030 to expand the facility.
Additionally, the project will be backed by GH2 Solar’s UK-based partner Rhizome Energy. Moreover, the facility is anticipated to generate over 300 direct jobs in the clean energy sector.
