Gensol Engineering secures 100 MW AC solar project in Maharashtra

Gensol Engineering Limited has declared that it has secured its largest-ever turnkey (engineering, procurement, and construction) contract in terms of both size and worth from a prominent power generation utility in Maharashtra. The project entails establishing a 100 MWAC (135 MWp) ground-mounted solar photovoltaic power project spanning 500 acres in the state. The project has a total contract value of Rs 5.2 billion.

Gensol will offer comprehensive solutions for the project, encompassing work ranging from land acquisition to design, engineering, procurement, logistics, civil and electrical engineering works, obtaining necessary permits, and the installation and commissioning of the plant. The project scope also entails operational management for a period of three years, including maintenance for both switchyard and extensive transmission infrastructure of the project. The project must be completed within 450 days of receiving the work order.

In February 2024, Gensol Engineering declared that it secured EPC contracts for two solar projects with a combined capacity of 422.5 MW DC. In the same month, Gensol Engineering Limited successfully secured a substantial Rs 9 billion in equity capital through the issuance of convertible warrants on a preferential basis.
