Gensol Engineering Collaborates with Matrix Gas & Renewables on Green Steel Project

Gensol Engineering Limited and Matrix Gas & Renewables have signed an agreement to develop India’s first  green steel production facility.

This facility will use 100 per cent green hydrogen. It is one of three pilot projects approved under the National Green Hydrogen Mission by MECON Limited in collaboration with the Ministry of Steel and the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy. The total capital expenditure for the project is estimated at Rs 3.21 billion, with the Indian government covering 50 per cent of the costs to support this important initiative.
