Cummins India Limited has announced the launch of its battery energy storage systems (BESS) to support India’s energy transition by enabling the integration of renewable energy sources such as solar and wind into the grid while enhancing power reliability for various sectors.
Cummins’ BESS solutions offer modular and scalable configurations in 10 ft and 20 ft containers, with energy capacities ranging from 200 kWh to 2 MWh. The systems use lithium ferrophosphate battery technology, coupled with integrated liquid cooling for thermal efficiency and extended life. The units also feature plug-and-play functionality for rapid deployment and meet global safety standards, including a three-tier fire safety system.
