The BESS projects must be made available to the state transmission utility for charging and discharging on an on-demand basis and connected to the grid at a minimum voltage of 33 kV. Moreover, the BESS projects must also be integrated with the transmission network, as per the despatch instructions issued by the state load despatch centre in consultation with the discoms. The developers must employ commercially established and operational technologies to minimise risks and ensure timely commissioning.
