Boralex has revealed the selection of the Oxford Battery Energy Storage project. The project is a 125 MW, four-hour duration battery storage project situated in the Township of South-West Oxford, Ontario. This project was chosen by Ontario’s Independent Electricity Systems Operator (IESO) further to its Long-Term Request for Proposals (LT1 RFP).

Furthermore, this project adds to Boralex’s existing battery energy storage project portfolio which includes the 300 MW Hagersville and the 80 MW Tilbury projects, which were selected by the IESO in last year’s solicitation.

In September 2023, Boralex and its Innu community partners at Parc éolien Apuiat S.E.C. (Innu) received a $608 million investment for the 200 MW Apuiat wind farm on Quebec’s North Shore. The construction loan is $465.3 million, which will be changed to a term loan with a 25-year term after the wind farm starts operations in the second half of next year.
