BHEL Secures Contract from DVC for 2×800 MW Koderma Super Thermal Power Project

Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has received an order from Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC) to set up a 2×800 MW supercritical thermal power project (STPP) in Koderma, Jharkhand.

The scope of the project includes constructing DVC’s first 800 MW unit adjacent to the existing 2×500 MW units, which were also installed by BHEL. The scope of the work of BHEL includes supply, erection, commissioning, and civil works.  The key equipment will be sourced from its facilities in Haridwar, Trichy, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Bhopal, and Ranipet. The execution will be managed by the company’s power sector – Eastern Region, and the project will incorporate advanced emission control technologies.
