Avaada Secures LoA for 1,138 MW Agro Solar Projects

Avaada Energy has obtained the letter of award (LoA) to construct and manage 1,138 MW of distributed agricultural solar PV power projects. To be developed by 2025 at an investment of Rs 50 billion, the projects will be set up throughout Maharashtra, covering 192 sites across 10 districts. The projects were awarded by MSEB Solar Agro Power Limited.

Avaada Energy is set to execute the projects under the Mukhyamantri Saur Krushi Vahini Yojana 2.0, referred to as Mission 2025. This initiative is geared towards revolutionising the agricultural energy landscape, aspiring to achieve a 30 per cent feeder solarisation target by 2025.

In January 2024, Avaada Group and Gujarat government signed a MoU to develop 6,000 MW wind-solar hybrid project in various districts of Gujarat at a financing of Rs 400 billion.

In November 2023, Avaada Energy won 1,400 MW DC solar project from NHPC Limited at a tariff of Rs 2.53 per kWh.

In October 2023, Avaada Group and Gopalpur Port Limited signed a MoU for setting up a green ammonia storage facility at the Gopalpur port.
