AMPIN Energy Transition Private Limited and Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) signed an agreement to enter a second partnership to establish 2 GWp of renewable energy projects across India. The companies will jointly invest $300 million for the same. This is expected to create an estimated renewable energy asset base of $1.5 billion. The renewable assets are expected to include solar, wind, hybrid and storage technologies.

The partnership will focus on large-scale and central grid connected renewable energy projects in India. This partnership follows the existing partnership entered into by AMPIN and CIP in 2021. That partnership had joint equity investments of $200 million in renewable energy projects in India. It has been extended with additional investments of $100 million. This will allow for an expansion of the portfolio from 1.7 GWp to approximately 2.4 GWp of projects.

In September 2024, AMPIN Energy Transition partnered with Sumitomo Corporation to establish AMPIN C&I Power Private Limited. The main objective of the project is to promote corporate power purchase agreement (PPA) business for renewable energy-generated electricity supply to client companies and develop renewable energy resources in India.
