Amazon and Gentari Join Forces to Expand EV Infrastructure in India

Amazon India and Gentari Green Mobility India (Gentari) have announced a fleet management collaboration to deploy electric vehicles (EVs) in India. The aim is to increase zero-tailpipe emission deliveries in India. Gentari will procure and mobilise EVs in various Indian cities, and offer comprehensive fleet management services to the delivery service providers for the upkeep of the EV fleet.

Currently, Amazon has more than 7,200 EVs deployed in India. It is aiming to deploy 10,000 EVs in India as part of its delivery fleet by 2025.

In November 2023, Gentari collaborated with AM Green to invest in a green ammonia project in India. In July 2023, Gentari India and ReNew Power had announced the setting up of a joint venture to develop 5 GW capacity of wind, solar and energy storage projects in India.
