Aboitiz Power Corporation (AboitizPower) has partnered with Thailand-based REPCO NEX Industrial Solutions (REPCO NEX) to introduce the Philippines’ first smart power plants through Project Arkanghel.
This project will develop digital twins for AboitizPower’s existing circulating fluidised bed coal-fired power plants, specifically the 300 MW Therma South Plant in Davao City and the 340 MW Therma Visayas Plant in Toledo City, Cebu. This technology aims to optimise plant performance through data science and artificial intelligence, enabling better decision-making. The integrated system of digital-enabled power plants will streamline data collection and review, benefiting asset health monitoring, life cycle management, and predictive maintenance.
