NTPC and RVUNL Sign JVA for 2,320 MW Chhabra Thermal Power Plant

NTPC Limited has signed a joint venture agreement (JVA) with Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Limited (RVUNL) for the Chhabra thermal power plant.

RVUNL currently operates a 2,320 MW plant at Chhabra, which includes four 250 MW units (Stage 1) and two 660 MW units (Stage 2). Under this 50:50 partnership, the joint venture will own and operate the Chhabra plant and explore opportunities to expand its capacity.
