WRTL Lands 335 MW EPC Contract with Acciona Energy

Waaree Renewable Technologies Limited (WRTL), a subsidiary of Waaree Energies Limited, has secured the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract for Acciona Energy’s subsidiary, Juna Renewable Energy Private Limited.

The contract encompasses a 412.5 MWp/335 MW photovoltaic project in Kawani Village, Bikaner district, Rajasthan. This utility-scale solar plant will feature bifacial solar modules from Waaree Energies Limited, installed on horizontal single-axis trackers to optimise energy yield through superior light absorption and tracking capabilities. As the EPC contractor,  WRTL will oversee the project’s complete lifecycle, including design engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning. The project will also involve the installation of a 33/220 kV plant substation, power transformers, and a mix of automatic and semi-automatic module cleaning robots, along with necessary spares.
