The Uttar Pradesh New and Renewable Energy Development Agency (UPNEDA) has issued three request for proposals for a total capacity of 7 MW on grid-rooftop solar projects including a battery packup for captive-use on government buildings. Tender 1, 2 and 3 involves deployment of 4 MW, 2 MW, and 1 MW of rooftop solar systems with battery backup. The capacities will range from 11 kW to 50 kW for tender 1, 1 kW to 10 kW for tender 2, and 51 kW to 75 kW for tender 3. The project is estimated to cost Rs 687.4 million (tender 1), Rs 355.7 million (tender 2), Rs 173.8 million (tender 3).
According to the tender guidelines, the bidders are required to submit earnest money deposit equivalent to 2 per cent of the estimated contract value. The developers are required to furnish performance security equal to 5 per cent of the estimated contract value. The winning bidders must be responsible for maintenance for a period of five years. The bid submission deadline is July 24, 2024. The developers are required to deploy the systems within four months of work order issuance.
