TPREL, Tata Communications Ink Rs 1.05 Billion Solar Power Deal

Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL), a subsidiary of Tata Power Company Limited, has forged a power delivery agreement with Tata Communications Limited to establish an 18.75 MW AC group captive solar power plant in Aachegaon, Maharashtra.

This collaboration involves an investment of approximately Rs 1.05 billion. Operated under the special purpose vehicle Nivade Windfarm Limited, the solar plant is expected to generate around 40 million units of electricity annually, contributing significantly to Maharashtra’s renewable energy capacity. This initiative underscores Tata Power’s commitment to expanding its renewable energy portfolio and supporting sustainable development initiatives in India, aligning with the nation’s ambitious renewable energy targets.
