Reportedly, ReNew has announced a proposal for a significant investment of Rs 264 billion in a green hydrogen project situated in Kerala.
The project aims to achieve an annual green hydrogen production capacity of 220 kilo-tonnes, subsequently used for generating 1,100 kilo-tonnes of green ammonia. Fueled by a 2 GW capacity electrolyser, drawing power from 5 GW to 6 GW renewable energy plants, the initiative anticipates generating 14,000 million units of power annually. The proposed site for the green hydrogen project is Vizhinjam, strategically located near the port for facilitating export.
