The Rajasthan Cabinet has approved the proposal to set up four new joint venture companies to boost renewable and thermal power generation and transmission.
The projects will involve partnerships with Coal India Limited and NTPC Green Energy Limited to develop thermal and renewable energy sources, with Rs 1,000 billion set aside for renewable energy. Additionally, Rajasthan Vidyut Prasaran Nigam Limited will create an infrastructure investment trust, to manage and monetise its transmission assets, boosting the state’s infrastructure and energy sectors.
