Juniper Green Energy has signed a power purchase agreement (PPA) with Tata Power to set up an 85 MW wind-solar hybrid power project. To be located in Maharashtra, this is the company’s first wind-solar hybrid power project, combining 51 MW and 34 MW of wind power and solar power, respectively.
The project is anticipated to produce 215 million units of power annually, offsetting approximately 200,455 tonnes of carbon emissions in the state per year. Additionally, it will help electrify about 42,753 households, supporting the region’s transition to more sustainable energy sources.
Recently, in April 2024, Juniper Green Energy announced the commercialisation of its first wind power project, bolstering Gujarat’s renewable energy capacity by 70 MW.
In the same month, Juniper Green Energy announced the commencement of operations of the 105 MW Jalkot solar power project in Maharashtra.
