Juniper Green and KPI Green emerge as winners in GUVNL’s 500 MW wind-solar hybrid auction

Juniper Green Energy Private Limited and KPI Green Energy Private Limited have secured project for setting up 200 MW capacity under 500 MW grid-connected wind- solar hybrid power projects (Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL)-Phase I).

In a recent development, GUVNL conducted a tender for wind-solar hybrid technology, offering a total capacity of 500 MW. The electronic auction saw a competitive process with 280 MW being auctioned, and only 200 MW ultimately awarded. KPI Green Energy secured a 50 MW project with a quoted rate of Rs 2.99 per kWh, while Juniper Green Energy secured a 150 MW contract at Rs 3.04 per kWh.
