JSW Energy Signs PPAs with MSEDCL for 1,200 MW Hybrid Projects

JSW Renew Energy Six Limited and JSW Renew Energy Thirty Limited, stepdown subsidiaries of JSW Energy Limited, have signed two power purchase agreements (PPAs) with Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) for state transmission utility (STU)-connected 1,200 MW solar-wind hybrid project.

These agreements are set for a 25-year period at a tariff of Rs 3.6 per kWh. The projects are expected to be commissioned within 24 months and will be connected to STU in Maharashtra.

In October 2024, JSW Energy PSP Two Limited, a subsidiary of JSW Energy, entered into an energy storage facility agreement (ESFA) with MSEDCL for a 1,500 MW/12,000 MWh pumped hydro energy storage project. In July 2024, JSW Renew Energy (Raj) Limited, a wholly-owned step-down subsidiary of JSW Energy Limited, signed power purchase agreement (PPA) with SJVN Limited for inter-state transmission system (ISTS) connected solar capacity of 700 MW.
