Jain Irrigation Systems Limited has secured an order of 5,438 solar pumps worth Rs 1.35 billion from the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) for the supply and installation of solar pumps across various districts in Maharashtra.
The contract covers the design, manufacture, supply, transport, installation, testing, and commissioning of off-grid direct current solar photovoltaic water pumping systems with capacities of 3 HP, 5 HP, and 7.5 HP. The project is part of the Magel Tyala Saur Krushi Pump Yojana under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha evam Utthaan Mahabhiyan (PM-KUSUM) B Scheme.
