Hitachi Energy India Limited has received a letter of intent (LoI) from Rajasthan Part I Power Transmission Limited for the design and execution of a high voltage direct current (HVDC) link to transmit renewable energy from Bhadla III, Rajasthan to Fatehpur, Uttar Pradesh.
The project involves the establishment of an HVDC terminal station of 6,000 MW at Bhadla, Rajasthan and Fatehpur, Uttar Pradesh with a ±800 kV HVDC terminal station (4×1500 MW) along with associated substations.
The contract was awarded by a domestic entity and will be executed over multiple years.
