CleanMax, Toyota Tsusho India Partner for Clean Energy Supply to Japanese Firms

CleanMax and Toyota Tsusho India have formed a partnership to drive sustainable green energy transition and accelerate renewable energy development across India

Mumbai : CleanMax, a Brookfield-backed company and one of the leading Indian renewable energy and net-zero solution providers for the Commercial and Industrial (C&I) sector, and Toyota Tsusho India Private Limited (TTIPL) have announced a long-term partnership.

TTIPL is a wholly owned subsidiary of Toyota Tsusho Corporation Japan, a member of the Toyota Group, and has been creating value through its innovative approach to solving business and social challenges across diverse sectors in India.

The new partnership entity aims to leverage synergies between both companies to develop and operate 300 MW of renewable energy projects for corporates by March 2028.

The newly created entity will serve as a platform for clean energy adoption for corporates in India through long-term Corporate Power Purchase Agreements (CPPAs), catering to Japanese corporates in India. The partnership will provide comprehensive green energy solutions tailored to each company’s needs, including rooftop solar projects, stand-alone ground-mount solar or wind projects, wind-solar hybrid projects and carbon credits.

The collaboration taps into CleanMax’s track record of executing large-scale and long-term renewable energy projects and Toyota Tsusho’s deep-rooted network among Japanese businesses operating across India’s industrial corridors.
