Coal India Limited (CIL) and Uttar Pradesh Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Limited (UPRVUNL) have signed a non-binding memorandum of understanding (MoU) to jointly set up a 500 MW solar power project in Uttar Pradesh.
The agreement is part of CIL’s broader green and renewable energy initiatives. It aims to meet the growing power demand and enhance energy security in the state.
The MoU also includes a provision for exploring further opportunities for collaboration between the two entities in the renewable energy space in the foreseeable future.
