Solar racking solutions provider Chiko USA has received UL 3741 approval for both pitched and flat roof rail-based solar mounted systems, an industry first for the residential market. Based in Arizona, Chiko USA supplies solar mounting options including carports, pitched roofs, metal roofs and ground-mount solutions.

Chiko USA’s products passed a series of tests designed to simulate situations firefighters may encounter on solar roofs and reduce the hazards they face. With UL3741 approval, solar installers will have the option to use string invnerters without additional rapid shutdown devices and will not require optimizers or inverters, Chiko USA stated in a press release.
