BPCL Seeks Bids for 52 MW Solar Project

Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) has issued a request for proposals for designing, engineering, provision, installing, testing, and commissioning of a ground-mounted 52 MW solar project. The project will be located at Prayagraj in Uttar Pradesh.

According to the tender guidelines, the developers are required to submit 10 per cent of the base value of the contract order as a performance bank guarantee. Joint ventures and consortium bids will not be considered. The project is expected to be completed within six months of receiving the letter of award. The bid submission deadline is June 21, 2024.

To be eligible, bids may be submitted by Indian bidders who have completed three fiscal years since commencing operations, as well as by Class-I and Class-II local suppliers. Furthermore, the bidders must have executed similar projects in India within the past seven years. The executed projects should consist of either one similar project with a minimum capacity of 41.6 MW, two similar projects with each having a minimum capacity of 26 MW, or three similar projects with each having a minimum capacity of 20.8 MW.
