BHEL Secures EPC Contract for 800 MW DCRTPP in Yamunanagar

Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) won a contract worth Rs 69,000 million for engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) package of 1×800 MW supercritical expansion unit for the Deen Bandhu Chhotu Ram Power Expansion Project (DCRTPP).

Haryana Power Generation Corporation Limited (HPGCL) invited bids for the same in January 2023. The work is expected to be completed in 57 months. HPGCL has proposed to develop the 800 MW project at Yamunanagar, Haryana at an estimated cost of Rs 40 billion. The project is the expansion of the existing 2×300 MW power plant commissioned in 2008.
