Avaada Energy Secures LoA from SJVN for 820 MWp Hybrid Capacity

Avaada Energy has secured letter of award (LoA) for 820 MWp of hybrid inter-state transmission system  capacity from SJVN Limited in the recent e-reverse auction conducted in June 2024.

According to the agreement, Avaada Energy and SJVN Limited will enter into a 25-year power purchase agreement. The projects are anticipated to be completed within 24 months. The projects will supply electricity to state-owned discoms through the high voltage transmission system of national grid. Once commissioned, these projects are projected to produce approximately 1,600 million units of clean power per year. Furthermore, the projects will provide power to over 1,100,000 households and will lead to anticipated reduction of around 1,490,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions per year.
