Sharing his experience exhibitor Mr Jagadish Easwar, Executive Director – Telecom & IT, Sonepar India Pvt Ltd: “I am working with Sonepar India for the last 15 years. For the first time we are participating at the Messe Frankfurt India show while we have been a part of the other global shows of Messe Frankfurt. It has been wonderful and a great experience so far to be here. I think we would also like to take part in the future exhibitions. The experience was fantastic.”
Appreciating the power of networking with the industry professionals, Mr Parag Parekh, General Manager, Kevin Electrochem: “We have been in the exhibition for more than 10 years and this platform gives us a very good opportunity, particularly to our higher authority people to meet each and every one within three days. So, if we were supposed to go and meet everyone, we would have taken 20-30 days to connect with all of them. Hence, this platform is very good for us to reach to our customer base which is very wide.”
Mr Jayant Patel, Representative – Sales Head, Litex Lighting: “We are importers of LED lights. The response has been very good with B2B visitors and also a few architects. We have been with the LED expo since long and every year we are upgrading our stall and our experience. We are also growing rapidly with it. So overall, the experience has been great.”
Mr Sanjeev Singh, AGM Marketing, Optiks Mechatronics Pvt Ltd, stated: “We have been serving the lighting industry for the last 15 years and we manufacture LED lenses. We have been participating at the LED Expo and we have gained a lot of benefits and opportunities through this to meet new clients, all the OEMs and the industry professionals. Over the last two days, we have received some very interesting queries. At the show, we launched five new products and people have liked them.”
Mr Kuldeep Gupta, Managing Director, Lumens Technologies: “We are demonstrating our Colossus range of products and we are known for new technologies introduction in the Indian market. We have introduced a lot of driver range for smart and Bluetooth technologies for waterproof and non-waterproof range. At LED Expo we have thoroughly enjoyed launching our products and meet the manufacturers so, thanks to Messe Frankfurt and its entire team.”
Visitors satisfied with the scale and innovations of the event shared their positive experiences. Mr Sarvdeep Basur, Founder & Product Lighting Designer, Lucent Worldwide: “It’s a very pleasant surprise. I had visited an ELCOMA event 8-10 years back and this time I am surprised that it’s much bigger, the venue is beautiful, the exhibits are worth watching, the stalls have been very well done and the attendance is fantastic. I like some of the products which are futuristic. The knowledge sessions are fantastic, and the group discussions have been the most wonderful. When I compare them with sessions at other expos, I think this is the next generation. Very good panelists, fruitful discussions and there’s a lot of potential of this exhibition growing into a more consumer lighting-oriented show and if quality exhibitors can participate.”
Mr Arun Kumar, Signify, Head – Consumer Business India: “It is fantastic as usual and the best part is the Messe Frankfurt India having the program in collaboration with ELCOMA which is really helping the industry. We see many participants here and it is a good forum to come, experience and see what’s happening here. Lighting is moving to the next level – from the conventional to LED and now it is getting more into the ‘smart’ segment. It is a very good show and also happens in Frankfurt. For people who cannot travel, a show like this happening in India should continue and be encouraged.”
The exhibition has garnered strong support from India’s leading industry associations and government bodies such as the Ministry of Electronic & Information Technology (MeitY), the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL) – the Ministry of Power, LiDAI (Lighting Designers Association of India), CREDAI-MCHI, Council of Architecture (CoA), Luminaire Accessories Components Manufacturers Association (LACMA), Indian Building Congress (IBC), Solar Energy Society of India (SESI), Bombay Suburban Electric Supply (BSES), The Calcutta Electric Traders Association and the Secunderabad Electric Traders Association.
