Insolation Energy Limited has secured a contract worth Rs 5 billion from Rajasthan Renewable Energy Corporation Limited (RRECL) for the installation of 77 MW of rooftop solar plants in Rajasthan. The scope of the project involves the design, supply, erection, testing, commissioning and installation of rooftop solar photovoltaic (PV) power systems on state government and government-owned buildings across Jaipur, Ajmer, and Kota districts in Rajasthan. A 67 MW solar plant will be installed in Jaipur; and 5 MW solar plants will be set up in Kota and Ajmer each. The contract also includes operations and maintenance of the power systems for a period of 25 years after commissioning. The project will be developed under the hybrid annuity mode structure with an estimated timeline of 18 months for the project
In July 2024, Insolation Energy was included in the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM) by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy with a capacity of 187 MW. In November 2022, Insolation Energy Limited received a letter of award (LOA) by Ajmer Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited for the empanelment of vendors for design, supply, erection, testing, and commissioning including warranty, comprehensive operations and maintenance of grid-connected rooftop solar plant.
In February 2023, Tehri Hydro Development Corporation Limited (THDC) and Rajasthan Renewable Energy Corporation Limited (RRECL) agreed to form a joint venture with a shareholding ratio of 74:26 to develop 1.8 GW of renewable energy projects in Rajasthan. The joint venture will establish 10 GW of renewable energy projects with an estimated investment of Rs 400 billion.
