Suzlon Wins 400 MW Wind Energy Contract from Jindal Renewables

Suzlon Group has received a 400 MW order from JSP Green Wind 1 Private Limited, an SPV of Jindal Renewables Power Private Limited. The project is Jindal group’s debut in the wind energy segment.

Suzlon will supply 127 state-of-the-art wind turbine generators (WTGs) with Hybrid Lattice Tubular (HLT) towers, each having a rated capacity of 3.15 MW in the Koppal region of Karnataka. The power generated will be used for captive consumption in steel plants in Chhattisgarh and Odisha. With this, Suzlon’s cumulative order book stands at nearly 5.4 GW.

In September 2024, Suzlon Energy Limited acquired 51 per cent equity share capital in Renom Energy Services for Rs 4 billion and made it a subsidiary of the company.
